Why pop-up windows? Do they compromise my security?

Lately, we have received queries from our members asking about the need for pop-up windows to take LifePoints surveys, and how can this compromise their security.

We understand that – unfortunately – certain pop-ups are designed to trick you into calling a phony telephone number, or to get you to click on a certain link that can download malware.

This is NOT the case with LifePoints and will never be.

Not all pop-ups are there to infect your computer. On LifePoints we use pop-up windows to enhance your member experience, so you don’t have to navigate away from the main dashboard when taking your surveys. Our pop-up windows are legit and do not compromise your security by any means.

Some browsers have settings that allow you to unblock pop-ups. However, it’s always possible to choose which websites you know are secure. LifePoints is one of these websites. By adding LifePoints to your websites safe list, it’s still possible to remove unwanted ads, malignant pop-ups and malware used on dishonest websites.

Please go here to check instructions on how to disable pop-up blockers for LifePoints while keeping them enabled to protect you from untrustworthy websites. And remember, pop-ups will need to be enabled on mobile and desktop to take LifePoints surveys.
